The Parish Committee is proud to recognize the Reckoning & Repair Working Group with a bouquet of roses for their unwavering efforts resulting in a three-year partnership with the Roxbury Youth Program (part of UU Urban Ministry). This is a commitment of both financial and relational support, guided by the needs identified by RYP leadership. In February, the Reckoning & Repair group presented a check for $27,000 to RYP, a gift made possible by the extraordinary generosity of this congregation during R&R fundraising this Fall. We will continue to hear from R&R about more ways to engage with the Youth Program for our mutual benefit. This hardworking group shows how research, education, community dialogue, and steadfast focus over months and years can lead us to positive action in response to complex challenges rooted in our congregation’s history.
