First Parish runs on community involvement, whether it’s
- “Turning outward” to join in social justice activities like “Action Sunday”
- “Turning inward” to the spiritual, such as in covenant groups
- “Side by side” in community activities like baking on a Sunday morning for coffee hour
- “Church workings” for keeping First Parish running, from raking leaves or fixing chairs on a Saturday as a “Property working bee” to joining a standing committee focused on religious education, membership, social justice, and more.
