The Center of Our Faith: Could it be Love?
October 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An Adult Learning Program at First Parish
Wednesdays October 25 and November 1, 7 pm
Led by Rev. Marta Flanagan, Lead Minister
In the First Parish Parlor
What do you Believe? What do we believe? For the last 40 years Unitarian Universalists have pointed to the “Seven Principles” at the core of our religious tradition. But for centuries it wasn’t that way. Currently Unitarian Universalists in this country are considering a revision of the beliefs and values we hold at the center of our faith. Marta Flanagan will lead a two-session program on the beliefs and ideas that have been central to Unitarian Universalists in the past and what beliefs and ideas we might make central in the future. The program will involve reading articles in preparation of our discussions as well as some exploration of our individual beliefs. The program will also dovetail with sermons Marta is preaching on October 15 and November 5.
Reading materials will be sent to registrants via email.
