Tashlich for Rosh Hashanah
October 3 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
First Parish Unitarian Universalist in Arlington Jewish Connections warmly invites you to the ritual of Tashlich for Rosh Hashanah. We will meet in a COVID-safe way on Thursday, October 3rd at the main door of First Parish at 630 Mass Ave. Arlington. Please wear a mask and bring your own breadcrumbs. Copies of the ritual can be emailed in advance. Ask if you would like a copy. Contact us at – jewishconnections@firstparish.info.
At 6pm, we will walk 10 minutes to the Mill Brook, to Cooke’s Hollow. Each person will throw the breadcrumbs they bring into the water to cast away sins and regrets. We will NOT eat apples, challah and honey together this year. But we hope you can do this at home to celebrate the sweetness of the New Year.
The event is suitable for all ages and is open to all. It occurs rain or shine. Please wear a mask, bring breadcrumbs, dress for the weather, and wear comfy shoes. Children are most welcome. BYOBC – Bring Your Own Bread Crumbs
