Sing Out Strong, Revolutionary Voices is a multi-year community-based project commissioning people in the community to write texts on activist themes that resonate with them personally.
This season, it uplifts Indigenous Voices, in anticipation of White Snake Projects’ upcoming production of Brent Michael Davids (Mohican, Munsee/Lenape) REQUIEM FOR AMERICA, which explores the genocidal founding of our country.
Our poet-in-residence, Lokosh (Chickasaw Nation) is joined by Jasmine Goodspeed (Hassanamisco Nipmuc), in contributing texts which have been paired with composers responding to a national call, making songs which will tour Boston’s neighborhoods.
