The UU Urban Ministry offers a rich cultural opportunity in Roxbury — an arts/history walking tour plus a signature open-air Summer jazz concert.
The Roxbury Ramble ~4 mile walk tour of local public art and intriguing Roxbury history and icons. 10:00 to 2:30. Registration requested.
The 13-piece jazz Makanda Project will perform a free concert on the UUUM lawn from 1:00 to 4:00. No need to register! Bring a lawn chair and sit in community with fellow listeners. It will also be held on Aug.15 and Sept.12.
You can do one or both! Although they overlap, you can make a day of it – explore Roxbury in the morning and relax to great music in the afternoon.
