Indigenous Justice and RJCC Presentation: Sarah Augustine
September 10 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
On September 10 at 7:30 PM, Sarah Augustine—a Pueblo (Tewa) descendant, founder of The Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery, and author of The Land is Not Empty—will discuss how violence against Indigenous people is ongoing and how churches are uniquely called to dismantle the systems that continue to justify it.
For some recent context from May 2026, please see that Pope Leo XIV makes a historic apology for the Vatican’s role in legitimizing slavery (PBS News).
First Parish will host a viewing of this event in the parlor at 7:30 PM, followed by a discussion. Please join us!
If you cannot make it to our live showing and discussion, here is the link for viewing from home.
