Each Sunday, the offering collected during worship is split between the support of First Parish and another organization chosen by the Social Justice Committee. For April 2026, the Cambridge Women’s Center will share half the offering collected during Sunday worship at First Parish.
The Cambridge Women’s Center provides a supportive community space for all women (or anyone for whom woman is a meaningful identifier), by offering opportunities for empowerment, learning, healing, trauma support, and understanding. Many of the women who come to the Center are experiencing homelessness, poverty, food insecurity, domestic violence, childhood abuse recovery, and more.
Cambridge Women’s Center strives to create a community actively working towards justice for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+, those with disabilities and/or mental issues, people experiencing housing insecurity, etc.
The Cambridge Women’s Center was nominated for the Giving First program by the First Parish Woman’s Alliance, who recently hosted a program featuring the film, “Left on Pearl” which explores the history of the Center.
