Each Sunday, the offering collected during worship is split between the support of First Parish and another organization chosen by the Social Justice Committee. For October 2026, in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Second Step will share half the offering collected during Sunday worship at First Parish.
The Second Step provides free, trauma-informed services for survivors of domestic violence throughout Greater Boston and beyond, helping survivors of domestic violence heal and thrive in safe and supportive communities.. They are dedicated to ending the cycle of abuse with their wraparound support, including safety planning, legal services, housing stabilization, support groups, and community education.
