Dear First Parish,
In times of uncertainty and anxiety, information and clarity can serve as a helpful counterweight. I know folks are holding a lot right now and I hope that my sharing can create some clarity.
I have served as your Parish Minister since August of 2020. And I deeply love this congregation. During this interim period, I have been in my own time of discernment about my personal and professional life. I shared with the Parish Committee in December that I will not be pursuing nor applying for the Settled Lead Minister position at First Parish Arlington.
That said, I will continue to serve this congregation as your Parish Minister until my contract ends in June 2027. Between now and then you all will be determining what future staffing and ministerial structures this congregation needs. If you have any questions about that process, please reach out to the Transition Team.
I believe that the values, connections, and love that First Parish embodies is what will repair this aching and broken world. Thank you for being you.
