Defending Democracy Working Group and STAR invite you to a book discussion, facilitated by David Whitford, on the book, Hope in the Dark: Untold Histories, Wild Possibilities by writer, historian, and activist Rebecca Solnit. Hope in the Dark makes a radical case for hope as a commitment to act in a world whose future remains uncertain and unknowable. “No writer has better understood the mix of fear and possibility, peril and exuberance that’s marked this new millennium” says Bill McKibben.
