Rose of Recognition February 2025
The Parish Committee gratefully extends a Rose of Recognition to Mary Cummings and Joanne Pohl. Since 2021, Mary has kept us informed, inspired and active with “Two for Tuesday” emails to the FPConnectionBoard mailing list. Joanne stepped in to assist this year.
With weekly emails, they have given us hundreds of opportunities to connect with each other, the broader UU community, and our elected representatives, in the service of social justice. “Two for Tuesday” emails keep us alerted to educational opportunities and group actions, as well as postcards and emails to send, and phone calls to make, to push for progress on local, regional, state and national issues.
We are deeply grateful for Mary and Joanne’s steady reminders that there are countless ways to challenge the excesses and injustices of our time, while encouraging each other on our spiritual journeys.
