Please join us for a conversation with Linda Dittmar.
Linda will share memories of growing up as a Jew in Israel, starting before Israel became a state, and, as an adult, gradually coming to see and understand painful aspects of the history Israelis and Palestinians share, which Israel has sought to hide.
Linda taught literature and film studies at University of Massachusetts at Boston for forty years. The event is sponsored by the First Parish Working Group on Peace and Justice in Israel-Palestine, and is co-organized with Arlington for Palestine. Light lunch foods will be available. Copies of Linda’s book, Tracing Homelands: Israel, Palestine, and the Claims of Belonging, will be available for purchase after the end of the program.
