Thousands came out to the First Parish lawn this Saturday morning, March 28, for a No Kings Rally to stand up for our communities and reject the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration. According to reporting from YourArlington, an estimated 3000 people gathered peacefully on the First Parish lawn at 10:00am on Saturday morning, with no arrests or distracted driving car accidents. First Parish, led by the FP Defending Democracy Working Group, and Indivisible L.A.B. (Lexington, Arlington, Belmont) co-sponsored the rally, one of thousands of similar events across the country on Saturday. This No Kings Day of Action was the third of such national calls to gather peacefully in protest since the start of President Trump’s second term in January 2025. The rally at First Parish, along with similar gatherings sponsored by Indivisible LAB in Lexington and Bedford, were scheduled in the morning to allow for participants to attend the Boston No Kings event later in the day.
