DESCRIPTION:We invite you to come together to reconnect with each other\, acknowledge our weariness\, grief and uncertainty\, and explore ways to find active hope for the times we live in. This day-long workshop based on Joanna Macy’s The Work That Reconnects is designed to strengthen our relationship to each other and the living Earth and fuel our commitment to create a life sustaining culture. Participants will be invited into a variety of practices including pair conversations\, shared rituals\, guided meditation\, individual reflection\, songs and poetry. Facilitator Anne Goodwin is a longtime FP member\, a certified facilitator of the Work That Reconnects\, a song leader\, and a climate activist. Snacks and a simple vegetarian lunch will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Led by Lori Kenschaft \nMany of us are feeling challenging emotions related to the direction of our country and our world — grief\, fear\, anger\, incredulity\, sadness\, etc. We may also sometimes feel pressure to appear optimistic or determined. Presenting an upbeat face can feel exhausting or isolating\, even if we see the wisdom in keeping active and not dragging other people down. \nThis gathering will invite participants to share the hard feelings\, whatever they are. We will use a structure inspired by restorative justice circles to create a space for careful listening and deep sharing. This is not a meeting for making decisions or planning anything.
