SUMMARY:Mussar: To Live Into Spiritual Values
DESCRIPTION:January 24\, February 7\, February 21\, March 7\, March 21\, April 4\, April 18\n8:00am – 9:00am\, Zoom \nInterested in trying out a new spiritual practice based on values we are trying to live out in our lives? Join Bonnie Zimmer in a seven- session Mussar experience. We will meet every other Friday morning at 8 -9 am online for seven Fridays.. \nMussar is a spiritual practice aimed at creating a better world. The 35 people who participated in the daylong spiritual retreat in May got a taste of 1\,000 year old Jewish practice\, which requires both individual practice and group reflection. \nBonnie with Marta Flanagan ran a pilot Mussar group this fall at First Parish. Thirty five people expressed interest but we could only accommodate 16. We are now continuing this pilot. \nDuring this group you will be introduced to Mussar history and practice\, and explore “soul-traits” or Middot. \nPlease register in advance here. Registration for this series closes on Wednesday\, January 15.\nPLEASE NOTE – REGISTRATION IS FOR ALL INSTANCES OF THIS GROUP (you cannot register for individual dates).

SUMMARY:Alliance Chowder Supper and Book Swap
DESCRIPTION:During these cold\, blustery January days\, does your heart call out for something warm and comforting? Why not attend the Alliance Chowder Supper for a bowl of hot chowder or soup? It is an in-person event held in the Vestry. \nThe Chowder Supper is a social gathering. Please join Alliance members and friends for an evening of conversation\, fellowship\, and good food.
