SUMMARY:Memorial for Diane Rose Barry
DESCRIPTION:Diane Rose Barry\, 81\, died on Monday\, September 23\, 2024 at Winchester hospital from complications due to pneumonia and COVID. Her wife of 43 years\, Celia Wcislo\, and their son\, Miguel Wcislo Barry\, spent the last month by her side.\n\nDiane grew up in Wethersfield\, Connecticut. She was the daughter of John Barry\, and Jane Farquhar Barry. She was a of graduate of Lasalle College and Harvard University. Her professional career included 40-plus years as an administrative manager for the Emergency Department at Boston City Hospital and Boston Medical Center.\n\nDiane\, her wife\, Celia\, and their son Miguel\, joined the congregation thirty years ago. Since then Diane has held countless roles\, including serving for many years as treasurer of the congregation and on the Parish Committee\, our governing board. Diane’s sense of justice shaped many conversations on the Parish committee as well as the Racial Justice Coordinating Committee\, on which she also served.\n\nA memorial service for Diane will be held at First Parish on Monday\, October 28\, 2024 at 1:00pm with Rev.
