First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington

First Parish Mission Statement

We choose to be a liberal religious community, welcoming to all.
We encourage each other on our spiritual journeys,
support one another through the changes in our lives
and challenge the excesses and injustices of our time.
Called to love and upheld by joy, we live our faith.

Adopted March 28, 2010

  • A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
  • The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregation and in society at large;
  • The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all;
  • Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

Find out More:

In recent years, a number of excellent UU web sites have sprung up on the internet.  For general background information on Unitarian Universalism, our parent organization, the UUA, is a great place to start.  If you'd like to find out more about Unitarians in the Arlington area, you should start with our own contacts page.

If you're thinking about joining our church, you'll want a deeper understanding than you can get from any web site.  New members are encouraged to take the "Introduction to Unitarian Universalism" course offered at the church.  You'll find out more on our new members page.
